The Walled Gardens was recently listed as one of the Observer Food Monthly's "20 of The UK's Best Restaurants".

The Tasting Menu runs Friday, Saturday, Sunday & Monday, three weekends of the month.
Tickets are released 4 months in advance.
Dates are removed from the list bellow once they are full.
Each booking gets their own table and I cater for just 8 diners a night.

Allergies - Important, please note I can only cater for vegan or gluten free guests if notified at the time of booking.
Any other dietary requirements must be discussed prior to buying a ticket to establish whether I can accommodate them. See FAQ's bellow for more details.

PLEASE NOTE IN A CHANGE TO PLANS JUNE TICKETS WILL NO LONGER BE RELEASED ON Febuary 1st AS PLANNED. THIS IS TO MAKE SURE I CAN ACCOMMODATE THE GUESTS WHO HAVE NEEDED TO RESCHEDULE FROM NOVEMBER to FEBRUARY WHILE I HAVE BEEN FORCED TO REMAIN CLOSED.

About The Walled Gardens Underground Restaurant

The Walled Gardens Underground Restaurant is a unique culinary experience from award winning Chef Eddie Shepherd. Serving a modern plant-based tasting menu in an informal, sociable setting.

Eddie cooks for just 8 diners a night with each booking having their own table to themselves. The focus is on delicious food & a relaxed, fun atmosphere.

An ‘Underground Restaurant’ - The Walled Gardens strives to serve delicious food with informality and genuine hospitality. It takes place on the converted ground floor of our home where Eddie cooks and serves guests
from an open kitchen.

It is a unique set up which trys to be forward thinking but also friendly
& open. The aim is for the food to be delicious & the experience to be fun & personal.

Events can sell out quickly, tickets are release at 9am on the 1st of each month & I run Friday, Saturday, Sunday & Monday, three weekends of the month.


About the Events

The food 

A 12 course modern vegetarian tasting menu from award winning chef Eddie Shepherd, also including a welcome cocktail & coffee and chocolates to finish.

The focus is on delivering truly delicious modern vegetarian food, which should also be interesting and unique.

The Evening

Catering for just 8 diners per night, with each booking having their own table to themselves. The focus is on delicious food & a relaxed, fun atmosphere, this is an ambitious culinary project with unique access to the chef cooking and serving your food.

The booze situation

This is a bring your own bottle event. A welcome cocktail will be served on your arrival before the meal, then guests are advised to bring their own alcoholic or non alcoholic drinks of choice - wine, beer, spirits, what ever you would like to drink. A drinks fridge will be available to chill drinks and of course water will be served, as well as tea or coffee at the end of the meal.

Allergies / Dietary requirements

All the food served is vegetarian. 
I can cater for gluten free or vegan guests only if notified at the time of booking.
Any other dietary requirements must be discussed prior to buying a ticket and well in advance of the event to establish if I can cater for them. While I can provide an alcohol free cocktail alcohol is used in a number of the dishes as an ingredient.
We also have two cats in the house, they won’t be present during the evening and we keep an extremely clean home but anyone with an allergy to cats should be aware of this.

Location

The Walled Gardens Supperclub is located on Alness Road in Whalley Range, Manchester. The full address along with directions and a map will be sent to you upon purchasing a ticket. There is parking on a street nearby and we are well positioned for regular busses. It is easy to get here via public transport and is only a short journey from manchester city center.

Pricing

Tickets are between £75 - £65 depending on the night (Monday nights are a cheaper option)
The price of your ticket includes everything except the drinks you choose to bring yourself.

Dates will be announced as far in advance as possible. Then tickets will be released around four months before the event itself - so everyone has an equal chance of getting tickets.

Cancelation

To keep the ticket prices as low as possible, and with these events being so small, it really is vital that all seats are filled to make it affordable to run. So if you have bought a ticket but unfortunately cannot attend please give as much notice as possible and we will first try to resell your ticket, however if it is too close to the event and we are unable to resell the ticket you will unfortunately be charged for the ticket.
