Flaming Ice-creamSee the blog I did on my Brandy Flamed 'Chistmas Ice-cream' for a basic recipe to play with. Obviously we're on the corect side of xmas now so no need to stick to the festive flavours, but have a bit of an experiment based on the christams recipe. I'll put up a recipe for another incarnation of this desert soon, but use your noggin and have a wee play about if you feel confident with the principles. (I don't think I mentioned this in the blog but remember to warm the alcohol your using to flambe the ice-cream before lighting it). Check out the blog and have fun with it. In this, its isolated and most basic form, the flaming ice cream should be about fun. I haven't given this as a restaurant recipe but something to enjoy, play with, and hopefuly inspire others to come up with exciting or interesting flavours that will work and beifit from the frozen and flaming alcohol contrast.
